Become a Career Owner initiative is a transformational career education and empowerment program designed to fulfill the ultimate goal of career education: to produce career owners — – individuals who take charge of their career choices and development by understanding how their identity, capabilities, aspirations, values, and strengths align with career paths. Through a structured process of self-discovery, career exploration, and skill acquisition, the program equips students and youths with the necessary tools to find career fulfillment and become gifts to others through who they are and what they do. Since 2018, this initiative has impacted over 50,000 students and youths across Africa through career campaign seminars, mentorship, and resource materials tailored to three key categories:
1. Those who have chosen the right career path but need career management skills for growth and success.
2. Those who have chosen the wrong career path and need guidance on realignment and transition.
3. Those who are yet to make a career choice and require knowledge, self-discovery, and direction.
About Us - WEandHUMANITY
Every individual was created with purpose, and career fulfillment is deeply tied to discovering and pursuing that purpose. While a few individuals naturally find their career path, many struggle due to lack of guidance, conflicting societal values, and limited career education. This is where WEandHUMANITY steps in.
WEandHUMANITY is a transformative career education initiative dedicated to guiding young people across Africa and beyond toward career fulfillment. It was initiated in 2018 by Anthony A. Akpan and formally incorporated by him in 2025 as an NGO, with his wife, Victoria Anthony Akpan (Esq.), as co-founder. This movement is driven by a network of professionals and experts from diverse fields, all committed to empowering and adding value to humanity.
Through our campaign seminars, counseling, mentoring, research, and career development resources, we help individuals navigate their career journey with clarity, confidence, and competence.

To advocate for the integration of a holistic and structured career education program into the Nigerian National Educational Curriculum from primary through tertiary levels. The initiative also seeks to empower students, youths, professionals, career guidance counselors, parents, and employees with the knowledge and skills needed to bridge the gap between academic achievement and real-world career and life success.
